Combating Addiction

Promoting Science-Based Solutions for the Addiction Crisis

Methamphetamine is the leading illicit drug problem in Arizona and the U.S. Admissions for meth-related addiction treatment have skyrocketed, rising more than 250 percent from 2002-2005.

Working to turn sound science into tangible results and lasting solutions, CABHP promotes new insights in the behavioral health field and engages in a variety of initiatives aimed at combating meth addiction. Current projects include the Methamphetamine Treatment Centers of Excellence and the Pacific Southwest Addiction Technology Transfer Center (PSATTC).
